We all love our pets and treat them like family. But sometimes they have an accident in your home. When that happens you can try some of these suggestions:
To clean up pet urine blot the area with a cloth as many times as needed until the cloth is no longer “wet” when you blot. Using a clean rag, dip it in a mild soap and water solution. Cold water works best. Only use a few drops of dish soap. DO NOT pour soap directly on pet urine spot. Blot the area again with the soap and water solution. This should take care of most small “fresh” pet urine spots. If the pet urine has been there a long time or has soaked into the padding then complete removal will require a professional. To get rid of a
ny mild urine odor, lightly spray the area with a mixture of white vinegar and water. Mix 1/2 cup vinegar with 1/2 cup water. Spray on area an allow to dry. Vinegar is a natural deodorizer and will not harm carpeting.
If a urine stain and odor still remain it is always best to call a professional carpet cleaning company. Please note that in some cases even a carpet cleaning company may not be able to completely remove the stain. Any company that “guarantees” you complete removal before they even see your carpet is most likely going to charge you a lot more money just to attempt to get the pet urine out. Do not fall for this. You should NEVER pay extra for small spot, stain or odor removal of any kind. This includes pet spots!CONTACT US TODAY!
